Description: Water and Steam Skid

In the framework of the project PreFlexMS, a consortium of partners, such as the Institute of Solar Research of the DLR, GE, University of Évora, ESE, and STF will erect commission and operate a once-through steam generator within a solarthermal pilot power plant with molten salt as heat transfer fluid in Évora, Portugal. As part of the pilot power plant the so-called Water and steam Skid is to be procured

Technical data of the skid to be delivered by the packager:

  • Fully integrated skid consisting of two transportable modules with metal frame limited to road dimensions representing the water and steam cycle of a 5 MWth pilot power plant
  • Delivery of fully integrated modules on site in Évora (Portugal)
  • The skids consists of the following main components which are provided to the packager for integration in his workshop:
    • Feed water pump
    • Condensate extraction pump
    • Condensate tank
    • Electrical Heater
    • Pressure reduction device and desuperheating system
    • Sampling and Dosing container with air chiller
  • The following components will be delivered on site by the contraction authority and will be attached to the two modules of the skid:
    • Demineralized water pump
    • Feed water tank
    • Air cooled Condenser
  • All additional components, as well as the integration and detailed engineering, is to be provided by the packager. The integration work of the packager comprises e. g. the detailed engineering procurement and assembly of (not exhaustive list):
    • Mechanical: Structures, tools, Hangers and welding
    • Process: Integration of the main components, as well as piping (water, steam, compressed air…) valves, and fittings
    • Electrical: Cabling and junction boxes

Complete specifications can be found in the technical dossier, which will be handed over to the bidders after signing the confidentiality agreement and the suitability criteria forms. Complete technical documentation, will be English. The contractual language is German.
